Thank You for Fostering with Hidden Gem Cat Rescue!

We and the kitties greatly appreciate your time, love, and efforts to help us make sure these fur babies end up in wonderful loving homes.

Here you will find the Foster Agreement to sign (we need it signed so we can assign them in our database and continue their care!) and a copy of our Foster Home Guidelines for your own reference, as well as links to other great resources that may help you as you work with your new foster cat or kitten(s)!

Foster Agreement

Hidden Gem Cat Rescue (herein also termed as Hidden Gem Cat Rescue, “We” or "Us"), and the undersigned, "You, the Foster or Foster Parent" agree to be legally bound by this Agreement. The Parties agree as follows:

1. Change of Contact Info: You will notify Hidden Gem Cat Rescue of all changes of address and/or telephone number within two (2) days after the change. Communications should be emailed to: Foster@Hiddengemcatrescue.org

2. Release & Indemnification/No Liability: The Foster Parent hereby releases Hidden Gem Cat Rescue and any related staff or volunteers from any and all liability for personal injury, property damage, legal fees, medical care, or veterinary care, or any other expense or liability incurred by the Foster Parent as a result of this Fostering experience.

3. Hold Harmless. The Foster Parent agrees to hold Hidden Gem Cat Rescue and its staff, volunteers, affiliates, and partners harmless from any direct, consequential, indirect, and punitive damages and losses. The Foster Parent releases and holds Hidden Gem Cat Rescue Harmless from any and all legal fees, veterinary care, or any other expenses or liability incurred by the Foster Parent as a result of this fostering experience. The Foster Parent agrees to indemnify Hidden Gem Cat Rescue from any and all such claims and to pay, without limitation, any costs related to such injury, damage, or liability, including, in the case of litigation, any attorney fees, and any such related costs.

4. Breach of Agreement/Liquidated Damages: In the event that you do not comply with the terms of this Agreement, or the animal is abused or neglected, Hidden Gem Cat Rescue will hold the right to recover the animal from you upon demand, and the animal will be surrendered to us immediately. In addition, without waiving any of our rights under this Agreement, if you do not surrender the animal to us, you will owe us a payment in the amount of $2,500 (per animal) agreed between us as just and reasonable liquidated damages to compensate us for our costs and expenses in connection with your breach of this Agreement and we reserve our rights to reacquire the animal.

REMINDER: Fosters must send a weekly update on all cats and kittens!
